Several really amusing stories and some downright laugh-out loud ones! It's a fast read, and if you enjoy sharing other's perception of the human experience, then this is a good book for you.
Ironically, I had the pleasure of meeting author, Dave Makin, at a book signing I was attending to support another author who is a good friend of mine! Dave's book signing table was next to my friends table and it didn't take long for us to get to talking about his books. As he told us some of the stories in the book, he had several of us in tears as we laughed so hard we cried. As soon as I was home and could read the book myself, I laughed out loud and even read some of the short stories to my family. From my seventy-six year old Mother to my eighteen year old son, they all laughed and agreed, this guy is a great storyteller! I can't wait to read Part Two!
Life is drama in this collection of anecdotes from a superbly funny man who weaves wit and irony into glimpses of his life. The perfect read if you're looking for a pick me up, life is easier when we realize that all of us have funny stories--but not all of us are as candid and transparent as this amazing storyteller.
Cosmic Irony reinstates the theory that "it's all in the perspective" in how we view life. As the author takes a look-back into incidents that happened growing that, at the time, felt as if the sky was falling in, becomes a series of hilarious, slap-stick comedic stories that will leave you laughing out loud. I found this book and it was hilarious! If you are looking for a good laugh definitely pick up this book. Money well spent!
